Crush or flush is a revolutionary new way to meet people online that is both safe and easy. After creating a profile on their website, you can search for other members by certain specifications such as location or interests. You then decide if you want to "crush" or "flush" that person. Things have gotten a little complicated. I won't really get into it because I don't really have a lot of time and besides, nobody really reads this anyway aside from Timmy if he remembers it's here and anything I would explain he already knows.

I start a new job tomorrow. Yes, new job; 6:30 a.m. I don't like to think of myself as a job hopper but certain situations do arise. If you're given the opportunity for something that you think will make you happier, you take it. Nobody is looking out for you. I have bills to pay so I have to make enough to get by. I should be able to now even if things are a little more difficult.

Anyway, I'm going to be okay.

     Good things have been happening in my life. I had a few rough weeks but they're starting to even out and I'm hopeful and optimistic about the future. Tomorrow will mark the end of my first full week at work and I'm going to be by myself from 6- close (10). I hope I can handle it and won't have any problem closing the register by myself. I was struggling money-wise but it looks like I'm going to be okay. I got my first pay check today along with my economic stimulus return and 150.00 unexpected from Prima (I'm guessing back pay for my vacation days? woohoo). As a result, I'm going shopping (a little.) I have my heart set on one of those Febreeze ScentStories? I know that's lame but I've always wanted one. I'm also going to splurge on some new make-up :) as well as a few clothing items for work and a pair of shoes or two. Nothing too extravagant though as I'm trying to save it up but I do deserve a few things :)

     I've been feeling a bit under the weather but I'm feeling better today. Timmy and I have been trying out a few new places to eat. Earlier this week we went to Five Brothers at Pullman Square, which is a burger place that's relatively new. Their menu's very simple but it was quite tasty. They give you a crazy amount of fries.We had the bacon cheeseburger and it was HUGE (but good.) plus they have Cherry Coke. Today before I went to work we went to eat at Max & Erma's, also at Pullman Square and it was really nice. It's not exactly cheap but it was decent (I had a grilled chicken sandwich & fries but they had some much more extravagant things). I'll definitely try it when I'm in the mood for dinner. I'm hoping we'll go back to Frankie D's Italian Chophouse later on. It just opened and it looks nice. I really love trying new restaurants. Not that there's that many in Huntington but there's definitely enough that you aren't forced to eat the same thing over and over.

     My work schedule isn't so bad. I work 5 full shifts this upcoming week, but they're always subject to change. I'm taking over the responsibilities of opening while Sarah is having surgery and I'm okay with that. It means I get to sleep in a little and I'm out before it's too late to do anything in the evenings. I just hope I'm okay on my own. I worry too much.

      I'm really glad Timmy's in Huntington. It's just weird knowing he's 10 minutes away instead of 4 hours and that I can see him anytime. I feel like I'm becoming dependent on him and that I really just need him to be around and that's kind of a weird feeling. I don't like to grow that close to people but I know the more time I spend with him, the closer I'm going to feel to him and I need to just suck it up and accept that and accept the fact sometimes you just need to realize there's the risk of everything falling apart and be okay with that. For maybe the first time in my life as far as relationships go, I feel like somebody is sincere and genuine and really cares about me. That's so sappy,right?

I decided to do the Friday's Feast this week. So, here goes:

Today was one of my days off for this week and Timmy and I didn't do a lot because I haven't felt well. I'm feeling a little better but there's definitely room for improvement. I finally got my spring semester grades today; 4.00, so I'm happy about that. Hopefully I can keep up that trend or at least try to. I can't wait to start my time at Marshall and be done with college already. I'm hoping tomorrow proves to be a good day as well. Back to work, but only for four hours and it's pay day AND when I should receive my economic stimulus check, which I'm really really looking forward to. I have bills to pay and things to buy and my car would be fond of gas in the near future. The ideal scenario would be to wake up tomorrow and it will be in my account along with my money from Macy's for my training last week. I'm glad I've been able to spend a little, scratch that, a lot of time with Timmy this week. I'm so thankful he's around now. He's watching Lost right now and he's been so sweet.

Anyway, I'll end this for now and get back to straightening my room. I'm trying to pick things up every day so it doesn't get overwhelmingly cluttered. I've gotten my schedule for next week and I'm off this coming Sunday and on Wednesday. I'm opening (9:45-6) Monday and Thursday and working a short shift on Tuesday (1-6:15) then on Friday and Saturday closing (2-10:15). I'm really liking the option of getting paid every Friday. One week will go to my car payment, the next to my rent, the majority of the third to my bills then the fourth will be spending money. Everything's going to work out. It looks like I'll be getting lot of hours and I'm thankful for that. I need the money. I think I may go to Logan on my day off this week to do laundry and see my parents and animals but that's not set in stone.

     I've completed my first two full days of work on the floor. I've had questions but, in total, I think everything's went well enough. Everybody I've encountered (so far) has been kind, patient, and helpful. I hope that continues. I really like my manager, Ginny. And the three I've worked with so far have been super,too. I hope I continue to like it there. I work from 9:45-6 tomorrow training on how to open then I work a short shift Friday (6-10:45 ) and my first full shift by myself on Saturday (2-10:15). I'm not sure on my schedule after that but she says I'll be getting a lot of hours since they're shorthanded, one girl is quitting , and another is having surgery. I figure I'll give it a month before I give it a definitive opinion but so far, so good.

     Money-wise, if my economic stimulus doesn't arrive as it's supposed to, I'm possibly screwed. I know it's ridiculous to count on something I didn't even know I was going to get a few months ago. But it is what it is. Oh, to be young and in debt.

     There's so much change right now and it's overwhelming. There's the change in location. It's not major. It's an hour and a half difference but it's a different living situation, a roommate, a change of scenery. I miss my parents a lot and I miss my animals. I miss John and Jeff and jacking around with them. There's the change of jobs. I'm in a much better place now, I think. I make more money and I'm in a safer environment. Yes, everything is new to me and it's really frustrating and stressful but I think it will come together after a few weeks, a few months.  Then there's the  school change, which  will take place in  late August. I'm where I need to be. I'm not exactly sure where I'm going but I'm taking steps in getting there. And then there's the Timmy factor. It's so strange to know he's just a few minutes away instead of a few hours and it's really flattering he cared enough about me to move here. It's the best part of Huntington so far. Everything is okay. I'm just feeling a little moody. I don't really know why.  I know everything will be fine . It's just..eh, it's sometimes a rough road getting to that point.

I had a vox when it first came out. I've been using a million different blogging platforms, including most recently livejournal. I decided to try it out again because vox is hip and I want to be hip. Please, let me be hip. I want indieblogcred. It's late now , however, and I'm off to sleep.New beginning for me as far as life goes and now I have this hip new blog to document it all in. I'll try it out anyway.
